OVERVIEW

We are now hiring an Assistant Manager for our St. Albans location. This position plays an integral role in the store management team. The Assistant Manager supervises and manages all sales associates. The position provides leadership for the store in the following areas: sales associate development, supervision of merchandise sales area and stocking area, policy enforcement, communications, and analysis of business operations, expense management, and general management of the store as part of the store management team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
  • Consistently create a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting; as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs
  • Coach, develop and train staff in conjunction with store manager
  • Identify opportunities to drive traffic into the store through community events
  • Assist manager in all operational areas including receiving, shipping, managing markdowns etc.
  • Demonstrate desired behaviors for staff including driving sales, handling difficult and/or complicated sales, cash management, inventory, and follow-up with customers
