Over 300-pounds of Pet Food and Toys Donated to the Humane Society of Chittenden County
WILLISTON, VT - Lenny's Shoe & Apparel donated over 300 pounds of pet food and toys to the Humane Society of Chittenden County on Wednesday morning. This donation was made possible on behalf of Lenny's generous customers. Monetary contributions were made through a cleaver coin-drop game and one lucky customer even won a Lenny's Body Wrap! These donations translated into 240-pounds of cat litter, 26-pounds of cat food, 40-pounds of dog food, 126 cat toys, and 8 dog Kongs.
“All of Lenny's staff at the Williston location are big animal lovers and we wanted to make a meaningful contribution to the Humane Society of Chittenden County this holiday season,” said Mark LeBlanc, Assistant Store Manager at Lenny's. “We went on their website to find a wishlist of items they need to continue caring for the animals. Then we visited the pet store and stocked up!”
There is still time to be part of Lenny's effort to support the Humane Society of Chittenden County. Visit the Williston store in Tafts Corner Plaza to play the coin-drop game and take a chance to win a Lenny's Body Wrap. All of your donations will go directly towards the care and comfort of the animals at the Humane Society.
“The Humane Society is thankful for the generosity of Lenny's Shoe & Apparel and their awesome customers,” said Megan Stearns, Director of Development and Outreach at the Humane Society. “With no government funding, we rely on community support to care for the 100 or so animals living in our facility each and every day.”
